Pilz and Thales Deutschland set the course – Safe, economical automation solutions for rail systems
Thales Deutschland and the automation company Pilz have concluded a co-operation agreement, with the aim of working together to develop products, functions and applications for signalling technology. Both partners are currently working on joint approval from the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) for an application with the highest safety requirement (CENELEC SIL4). The technical basis for these rail engineering solutions is the automation system PSS 4000 from Pilz.

New generation of operator terminals PMI 509 and 515 with enhanced processors – Higher performance for diagnostics and visualisation
Higher performance and extended memory capacity thanks to enhanced 600 MHz RISC OMAP processors and high-contrast displays: These are the features of the new generation of Pilz operator terminals PMI (Pilz Machine Interface). The diagnostic units are now available in display sizes from 3.5" and with 5.7" screen diagonal. In conjunction with safe control technology from Pilz, they provide effective visualisation and troubleshooting support when production faults occur.

Safe automation for a growth market – Pilz opens a subsidiary in India
Pilz GmbH & Co. KG has officially opened its subsidiary in India. Pilz India Pvt Ltd is based in Pune in western India and will provide product and service support to international customers as well as companies based or active in India. Plans to expand the subsidiary further are already underway. The commitment shown by Pilz shows its backing for greater safety awareness locally.

With the control system PMCprimo DriveP Pilz is expanding its portfolio in the motion control sector. The new control system is a combination of motion control card and servo amplifier. PMCprimo DriveP is designed for applications with several axes and high requirements in terms of performance and synchronised movements. The compact dimensions, a fast processor, digital inputs and outputs, a clear software tool and the expandability with the PMCprotego S safety card are features of the new control system.
